August!
The
Enderby Arts Festival was well attended and a perfect day for enjoying the sun
and events. Thanks to Lis for spearheading this event and doing so much
of the organizing plus a huge thanks to everyone who came!
Today
Sara, Nikki, Noelle and I set up the display at the Art Gallery in Salmon Arm.
The gala opening is at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday is paint the town.
Paint the Town means artists are about town doing their art and Sara will
have the guild tent set up next to Intwined Fibres on Hudson Avenue so that we
can be shaded while spinning. Bring your wheel and your chair and come, 9
to 1 is the allocated time for this event. Throughout August we
need volunteers to come to the Art Gallery to spin, demonstrate fibre preparation
or some other aspect. Please contact Sara and let her know if you are

Sunday
is the Classic Car Show at Haney Heritage Village so once again we have offered
to spin on the porch. 9 - 2 is the time for this event with the pancake
breakfast being served from 8:30 on. Hopefully a few people will attend
this event. I reserved 6 spots when Susan phoned. Please phone me so I
have an idea of numbers, Ann and leave a message if I am not home.
The
spin-in / meeting is August 14 at Sharon Wickstrom's on Round Prairie Road
in Armstrong. Volunteers are needed to do shifts at both Fairs so check
your calendars and sign up! 10 - 2 is the time, bring a bag lunch.
The meeting will be in the morning.
