Lin Hylton picks up her draw prize of the sweater and hat, and was absolutely
thrilled to receive them. She was fascinated by the "back to back" aspect of
it, and takes it home to Saskatchewan later this month. It was an absolute
pleasure to give her the draw prize - "You couldn't give it to anyone who would
appreciate it more!" she said.
The Shuswap Spinners and Weavers Guild is an organization of almost 60 members dedicated to supporting those involved in the fibre arts community locally and promoting these creative skills in the larger community. All members of the larger fibre arts community are welcome - spinners, weavers, fetlers, fibre producers, knitters and those who crochet. It is a very eclectic group with a history of service in the Shuswap region.

Salmon Arm Fall Fair - Sheep to Shawl Event
Hello everyone - well here they are - the wonderful pictures of our Shuswap Spinners and Weavers "Sheep to Shawl" event that took place at this year's Salmon Arm Fall Fair. The event was held on Saturday this year and our guild members spent the day spinning and weaving this beautiful scarf. Isn't it stunning? Here are a few pictures, which as nice as they are - I'm sure don't do it justice in real life. I can't wait to see this beautiful piece at an upcoming guild event.
Have you looked closely? Can you tell which is the front and which is the back? Can you see the sparkly threads woven in?
Told ya ....STUNNING! :)
Thank you to all the ladies that took part - you certainly outdid yourselves again this year!
