Louet Hollandia Loom For Sale in Kamloops, BC
$3,500.00 Canadian or Best Offer
Local Pick Up Only
I am selling my 4 harness, sectional beamed Louet Hollandia loom which is in excellent condition.  It was used mainly for tapestry weaving but I have woven yardage with equal success.  This loom is a parallel counter march system which provides a full shed.  Extra harnesses can be purchased from Louet if desired.  The loom is made from beech wood and is a warm amber colour.  It measures 58"Wx43"Dx48-1/2"H and the back beam folds for moving the loom or setting it closr to the wall.  The front breast beam floats which eases the tension of the warp as you weave and is a wonderful guide to resetting the warp tension as you advance your weaving.  I am also including the comfortable sliding seat bench which comes with a detachable back rest. As the seat slides as you weave, you have access to the two side pockets as well as the large one located under the seat.  I will also be selling the Leclerc Bobbin Rack for the Sectional Beam along with assorted large size bobbins and the louet sectional tension box.
Items incuded in the sale:
Louet Hollandia Loom with Sectional Beam
Sliding Seated Bench with back support and storage
Bobbin Rack for the Sectional Beam
Electric Bobbin Winder
Tension Box
4 Shafts and 6 Treadles
Weaving width of 51"
2 Reeds: 8 dent and 10 dent
Lease sticks and many other assorted sticks
Metal tie-on bar
Extra Texsolv heddles and treadle tie-ups
Louet locking pin
Detachable double shelf
Friction Brake
Manual for assembly and adjustments
Assorted bobbins and shuttles
Assorted yarns

Handmade castle style spinning wheel for sale  $400.00 firm.  8 Bobbins.  Treadle large enough to put both feet on it, Double drive band, 4 whorl sizes-1 with 3 whorls and then a separate 1 whorl disk all with brass metal screw on centers.  Adjust tension with top finial.  Beautiful heavy wood and a small footprint but very stable to spin on.  Would need to be picked up –no shipping.
Allan Haworth made this wheel for his wife from Australian Lace wood ( Gravalia Robusta) with great care and love.  Unfortunately Rita died from Cancer and then I bought this wheel from Allen a few years ago when he had to move into a much smaller place and by then he was ready to let it go.  Allen was an Industrial Education teacher and an Artisan woodworker.
I have some fine mohair on the bobbin now but will remove it.
I just made up a thin string drive band, it could use a larger string or a rubber drive band

louet "David" 90 Floor Loom (Kitsilano, West Side Vancouver)
Bought brand new in 2013 with all the extras, assembled but never used due to other priorities - so ready to go for an active weaver.

It's a very attractive neat looking loom (lacquered beech) with innovative features that other jack style floor looms just don't have - that's why I  bought it!

This youtube video gives you a good explanation and visual on the loom... Designed for being quiet, has unique sliding beater, a shuttle race and more.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi3anJhoQQK

Weave up to 35 3/8"wide fabric, eight harnesses and 10 treadles with 800 'texsolv' heddles.  I also bought the optional spring break (leaver so you don't have to get up off the bench).

Easy to move, light weight due to it's minimalist design and texsolv heddles.  Has the matching bench which can be tucked within the loom when not in use.

Comes with 2 instructional DVD's and additional heddles.  Passes easily through any standard door frame.
$4,250. CAD  Available for pick up in Vancouver, B.C.
