Here the crowd is waiting to start their shopping.
The tea room is all set up and the ladies are at the
desk ready to package up your Christmas shopping.

It is always a very busy time of year for the
guild, not only are we excited for this Christmas
event, lots of people look forward to the sale.

It's a great time to get your shopping done,
then sit and visit with friends in our tea area.

Christmas Pot Luck Luncheon held on November 24th.
This was a guild get together. We enjoyed finger food
and Show and Tell. Not everyone was able to attend
but we had a nice turn out.  It was a nice time to visit
 before the Christmas rush.

We had lots of food but I forgot to get pictures.  As usual there were so many great assortments! This was all that was left!

This years project was that most of us made
colour gamp tea towels or hand bags.

These were made to commemorate our 40th Anniversary
as a guild from 1979 - 2019

Place mats made by Gabriele

Knitted hat and baby sweater by Lis.

Woven scarves up close.

Carole knitted this top, decided it was too short
so she kept knitting.  Turned out nice.

Michelle is working on another felted picture.
Beautiful colours in this one!

Mona made this a while ago.

Such beautiful handy work!

Myrna made this shawl.

Another lady with great talent!

A couple more knitted hats.
An event coming up in Vernon, some of our ladies
are involved in. Stop in if your in the area.

November Show and Tell
Jennifer R. took a felting course through Fiona Duffy on Joomchi Felting on Salt Spring Island, B.C. She learned how to add a piece to your project. This is her market bag and she learned how to make a full divider inside. This market bag was made from a batt of wool. Joomchi felting is an exploration in pockets, openings and other ideas. Joomchi is a Korean art traditionally practiced in paper. The class Jennifer took explored similar principles but in felt making!

Jennifer's messenger bag was made from roving's.
Both are beautifully made!

These were made by Louise S. Her Christmas cards with the inserts made on her loom.  Watch for them on sale at our Shuswap Spinners and Weavers Christmas craft sale, November 30th.

Jacquie H. spent an evening with Arne & Carlos in Armstrong, BC at The Twisted Purl Yarn Studio. She bought some yarn to make socks. Arne & Carlos are a duo of textile designers specializing in knitted goods. Their knitwear designs draw both on traditional Scandinavian and on contemporary influences.

Jacquie also received a wonderful goodie bag full of stuff, plus they were
served lovely sweets. She left with lots of amazing information.

This is Louise's cowl.  Knit with 50% mohair, 25% silk and 25% acrylic.

This is Anne L.'s 4 quarters Shoulder Shawl.
Beautiful!

Anne L.'s silk evening shawl. Both beautiful knitted projects!

Allie's top down knitted sweater.

Carole B.'s quilted blanket. "Lest We Forget"!

Carole's market bags, knitted and crocheted.
Such bright colours!

Gudie's knitted caplet.

Noelle C.'s little hat, Shetland wool and stripping socks.

Ann N.'s throw blankets are light but warm.
She used mohair and other yarns.
