May's Show and Tell

Jacquie went on an Ireland knitting tour. 9 nights, 10 days.
For more information to go "KnittingTours.com"

Jacquie talked about her Ireland trip, she toured one cathedral, half a castle
and took in the Aron Island Knitters workshops.

She also took a Carol Feller workshop on charted knitting.
It wasn't only knitting, there was baking, dying and
spinning going on.

It was a busy tour she learned different knitting techniques, one was bobblin crossover cable ... she made a cup holder, knitting with wire, an aran bookmark,
Granny Sherry's chain link cable stitch - headband

Jacquie even managed to get a bit of shopping in and brought home
merino super wash skeins, she loved the colours in it!

Carole started to knit a shawl with this yarn, it made her think of a
sock monkey so she ripped it out and knit this sock, one down one more to go!

Michelle went to a garage sale and found a treasure box of felting stuff.
She made this from her treasures!

Anne's Icelandic wool traditional sweater.

Jill was so inspired by Noelle's little sweaters last month,
she knit her own.  Google Wee Wildlife Sweaters pattern
by Kathy Lewinski if your interested.
(she's also on Ravelry)

Jennifer's Gamp bag.

She even put on a cute felted sheep button on it.

Wendy's Rasta Cowl pattern.

Wendy's skein.

Ann's skein of Lincoln.

Ann's Tapestry Theo Morman scarf
with handspun art yarn.

Beautiful scarf.

Judith received this book as a gift after she taught a spinning class.
After reading it she donated it to our library.
She recommends reading this book.

A guild project, a vest made by Sharon W.

Another guild project, tapestry tree by Sharon.

Bob Jacket - California rags

Sharon's colour gamp bag.

Sharon also wove this ecclesiastical stole for her church.

With the rest of Sharon's colour gamp warp,
she made a bunch of tea towels too.

Love the blues and greens!

Then of course Sharon is quilting too.

I believe she made this for her nephew!

Gudie's going through her stash.  Recycle yarn for the McGuire Lake project for the Art Gallery.
This yarn is for knitting cobblestones.  If your interested
in knitting some, call Guidie, she had yarn and patterns.

Another guild project, Gudie brought these felted flowers in, does anyone remember this project?  We were colletcting items for our 40th Anniversary Tea display.

Woven rug.

Lis knit this sweater.

Lis is knitting for her grandchildren too, not one .... (a vest)

but two, s sweater too.
Mona's been getting a lot of spinning done!

Elvi's colour gamp bag.

Elvi wove 12 of these beautiful tea towels.
