Rental of Additional Space is a Go!

Hi Everyone!
Didn't we have a packed house for our first meeting !!!
In response to the emails generated to that, I have booked Room 2 for
our next meeting. It is only a difference of $5.25/ hour more than
renting Rm 3. So no additional charge to our membership dues.
Hopefully this meets with everyone's approval .
We will still rent Rm 3 for the 2 to 4 pm time slot on the meeting
Monday.

See you next time.

Gabriele

Thanks to the Guild for their support

Good Morning Everyone!

I am writing to thank everyone for their donations to my Father's benefit auction. The silent auction alone brought in approximately $940! The total amount raised was close to $5000.

I feel blessed to belong to such a wonderful, generous group of women! My dad asked me to express his gratitude to all of you, he was pleasantly surprised by all of the beautiful items donated.

You will all be in my thanksgiving prayers tonight.

With love and gratitude,
Kyla

particularly at the IPE.  Cheques were delivered.  This year's dues are

Fibres Unlimited had 5 today.  The Arts Council has received updated
contact information.  The Newsletter from Lynnette will be primarily in
form of a calendar.  Christmas Sale will be November 26.  The theme is
ornaments, but no tree will be put up to display them. To advertise,
Gudrun has booked the Library display case for the month of November.
Email her if you have items to be displayed there.  Tuesday, Nov. 1, @10
AM at the library would be a good time to give her your items.

New Business:
Claire - Facebook page?  After some discussion on facebook pages and
communications methods, it was decided to name the page for Fibre Artists,
instead of for Shuswap Spinners and Weavers.  Those wishing to be a part
of it can choose to do so.  The blog will continue, with any information
you send Margaret to be posted.  If items are sold, she should be notified
to remove the ad.  Photos of events may also be sent to her.  Lynnette
will send out the Newletter.  Lis will email the minutes to each member
individually as well as have them posted on the blog spot.  Individuals
without email must see Lis to give her their address for mailed minutes.

Kyla received items tonight for the Silent Auction to raise money for her
father's operation.  You can email her if you have donations to add, so
she can take everything with her.

Textile Expressions -   Elvi is preparing a submission for the Art Gallery
to request a textile showing in 2013.  In order to make the presentation,
she must have the biographies of all artists.  See Rosalie's email about
format, or the SAGA webpage.  Please deliver your bio to Elvi if you have
signed up to be one of the displayed artists.  Once that list is
submitted, you are committed.  The sooner the submission is made, the
better our chances of success, so time is important.
